Explore the detailed initiatives implemented by Aparajita Mahila Sangh since 2008 to elevate the socio-economic status of marginalized communities.

Self Help Group Promotion Scheme (SHPI)

Implemented under NABARD to improve socio-economic status. Formed 200 SHGs in Indore, 100 in Dewas, and 800 in multi-districts. Provided financial management training and linked members with major banks like Allahabad Bank, BOI, and Narmada Jhabua Grameen Bank.

Financial Literacy Program

Provided financial literacy trainings based on Center for Microfinance curriculum to 6000+ members. Opened 260 No-Frill accounts and linked 3000+ members with Life Insurance schemes of LIC and Birla Sun Life.

Center for Financial Literacy (RBI)

Focused on spreading financial literacy in tribal majority areas of MP. Operating 39 CFL locations covering 117 blocks. Also expanded in Phase 2 with 36 CFLs in MP and 8 in Chhattisgarh.

Bank BC Program

Acting as a Banking Correspondent (BC) to bridge the gap between funders and SHGs for easy credit access. Benefitted SHGs across Indore, Dewas, Khandwa, Khargone, and Sehore districts with timely loan disbursements.

Bank Sakhi Program

SHG-based Banking Correspondent scheme started in Indore and Dewas. Objective is to increase banking service outreach in rural areas and provide alternative livelihood opportunities to SHG members.

SHG Orientation & Management

Executed Orientation Training Programs for SHG leaders and members in Indore and Dewas, teaching them about SHG concepts, leadership roles, and effective management.

MEDP Program for Matured SHGs

Provided "Artificial Flower & Readymade Garment" training to 60 members of 20 mature SHGs at Hatpipliya, Dewas. Members got local employment and successfully started retailing their products.

Rehabilitation of Women in Distress

Since 2009, organizing free Computer and Artificial Jewelry Making training for distressed women in Indore slums, supporting them to secure employment and economic independence.

OFPO Cluster Development Program

Implementing the "Bagh-Hand Block Print Cluster Development" aiming to develop a Producer Company of 500 tribal artisans, providing skill training for profitable business operations.

NULM & SMID Scheme

Formed 350 BPL women SHGs in urban areas including Indore, Pithampur, and Khargone. Focused on capacity building, financial literacy, and establishing self-sustainable area-level federations.

NRLM Skill Up-gradation

Imparted "Tally & Accounting" training to 60 BPL candidates in Barnagar, Ujjain. Achieved 100% placement with all candidates getting employed at local and adjoining industries.

Vocational Training (NCVT & SABLA)

Provided professional skill upgradation for youth in trades like Computer, Beauty Parlor, Banking, and Accounting. Successful candidates received Govt. of India certificates and secured employment.

Environment Awareness Program

Since 2009, organizing awareness drives on forest, water, and soil conservation in slums. Conducts annual 'Plant Distribution Programs' along with Street Dramas and wall paintings for public engagement.

Total Sanitation Program

Adopted villages like Jamnya Khurd and transformed them into models of cleanliness and hygiene. Later expanded to sub-urban areas like Khatipura and Ravidas Nagar, benefiting 300+ families.

Safe Tourism for Women

Implementing projects focused on women tourist safety at major destinations including Omkareshwar, Khandwa, Choral, Patalpani, and Indore to ensure secure travel experiences.

Nai Roshni Program

Organized training programs for minority women in Indore focusing on improving leadership skills, confidence building, and spreading awareness regarding beneficial government schemes.

SMITA – Digital SHG Program

Initiated cashless e-payment options for internal SHG and SHG-to-Bank transactions. Successfully piloted with 100 SHGs in Dewas district via proper training and account setups.

E-Shakti Program

Acted as the NGO partner for the mass digitization of SHG data. Successfully collected and updated data for approximately 800 SHGs onto the national online portal.

Back to School Initiative

Started education centers for street children, dropouts, and working women. Used self-designed study materials to make learning fun, providing basic literacy to 200+ students.

DEAF Scheme Awareness

Conducted programs in Khandwa & Khargone as an empanelled NGO partner to educate banking customers about regular banking protocols and technology-based services.
